TL;DR
- Both Elite Manduri Fighter and Manduri Trebuchet Worker are Cogni pets in Aion 2.
- Cogni pets give HP, Critical Hit, and Might at max Pet Insight level.
- You need 5 souls to unlock each pet, and 100 more to reach max level.
- Elite Manduri Fighter souls drop from Wandering Manduri Fighter (Verteron) and Black Claw Manduri Fighter (Altgard).
- Manduri Trebuchet Worker souls drop in Black Claw Village and Kumrica’s Cellar.
- Both pets are also available from the Black Cloud Merchants, Cogni chests, and Ascension Trials.
What Are the Elite Manduri Fighter and Manduri Trebuchet Worker?
In Aion 2, pets are more than just companions. They give you real stats, act as mounts, and help you push your Genus Insight progression. The Elite Manduri Fighter and the Manduri Trebuchet Worker are two Cogni pets that players often ask about, especially when building their Cogni collection.
Both belong to the Manduri creature family. They are part of the 41 total Cogni pets in the game. Collecting and leveling them counts toward your overall Cogni Genus Insight, which passively boosts your HP, Critical Hit, and Might stats.
If you want a full overview of every pet in the game, check out the Aion 2 List of All Pets.
Cogni Pet Stats: What Do You Actually Get?
Before we dive into how to get these two pets, let’s talk about what they actually do for your character.
All Cogni pets share the same stat bonuses at each Pet Insight level. Here is what you get when you own and level a Cogni pet:
- Pet Insight Lv. 1: HP +10 (unlocks Mount)
- Pet Insight Lv. 2: HP +20, Critical Hit +1 (unlocks Mount Glide)
- Pet Insight Lv. 3: HP +30, Critical Hit +2, Might +1 (unlocks Transform)
These are owned effects, meaning you do not need to have the pet equipped or summoned. Just owning the pet at that level is enough. The stat applies automatically.
This is why farming Cogni pets is so valuable. Each one you collect and level up adds to your passive stats. Want to know which pets give the best stats per effort? See our Aion 2 Best Pets to Farm for Stats guide.
How Many Souls Do You Need?
To unlock any pet in Aion 2, you need exactly 5 souls from that pet’s matching monster. After unlocking:
- 25 more souls to reach Pet Insight Lv. 2
- 75 more souls to reach Pet Insight Lv. 3 (max)
That is 100 souls total after unlocking to reach max level. Each soul also gives your Cogni Genus Insight EXP, so farming is never wasted even after you max a pet.

Elite Manduri Fighter Guide
What Is the Elite Manduri Fighter?
The Elite Manduri Fighter is a Common Cogni pet. It is available to both Elyos and Asmodian players. Like all pets, it cannot be traded. It has no required level, so you can start collecting it early.
It is the upgraded version of the base Manduri Fighter Cogni Pet, and both share similar sources. However, the Elite version has its own unique soul drop locations.
Where to Farm Elite Manduri Fighter Souls
The Elite Manduri Fighter has 2 monster sources for its souls:
- Wandering Manduri Fighter – Level 27, located in Verteron. This is a great early farming option since the monster level is relatively low.
- Black Claw Manduri Fighter – Level 41, located in Altgard. Higher level but more densely spawned in the Black Claw Village area.
Both are aggressive monsters, meaning they will attack you if you get close. Come prepared and bring your best gear for your level. To check exact spawn map pins, open the Pets menu in-game, select Elite Manduri Fighter, and click the Source tab. It shows you exactly where each monster spawns on the map.
All Sources for the Elite Manduri Fighter
Beyond monster farming, the Elite Manduri Fighter can also be obtained through these sources:
- Black Cloud Merchants – Available in the Special and Pets tabs. This rotates, so check back often.
- Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound) – Has a 2.44% chance to drop the Elite Manduri Fighter pet directly.
- Growth Pet Chest (Bound) – Another chest source that can reward this pet.
- My Reliable Friends II Achievement – Complete this achievement to earn it.
- Ascension Trials – Available as a reward from all 4 difficulty tiers (Easy, Normal, Hard, Extreme) of Nightmare Altar and Sanctum of Loathing. That is 8 Ascension Trial sources total.
In total, there are 14 sources for the Elite Manduri Fighter. This makes it one of the more accessible Cogni pets in the game.
Elite Manduri Fighter Pet Insight Progression
Here is a quick summary of each Pet Insight level for the Elite Manduri Fighter:
- Lv. 1 (5 souls): Unlocks as a Mount. Owned Effect: HP +10. Grants 500 Genus Insight EXP.
- Lv. 2 (25 more souls): Unlocks Mount Glide. Owned Effect: HP +20, Critical Hit +1. Grants 250 Genus Insight EXP.
- Lv. 3 (75 more souls): Unlocks Transform. Owned Effect: HP +30, Critical Hit +2, Might +1. Grants 250 Genus Insight EXP. This is the max level.
Manduri Trebuchet Worker Guide

What Is the Manduri Trebuchet Worker?
The Manduri Trebuchet Worker is another Common Cogni pet in Aion 2. Just like the Elite Manduri Fighter, it belongs to the Manduri creature family but has a different look and different soul drop locations. It is available to all players regardless of race or faction.
Its soul can be farmed from monsters in the open world, which makes it a farmable Cogni pet. Not all Cogni pets have this option, so this is a solid pick for anyone grinding their Cogni collection.
Where to Farm Manduri Trebuchet Worker Souls
The Manduri Trebuchet Worker has 2 main farming locations:
- Black Claw Village – Located in Altgard. This is one of the most active farming zones in the game for Cogni souls, as multiple Manduri-type monsters spawn here.
- Kumrica’s Cellar – Also in the Altgard region. A useful secondary spot if Black Claw Village is crowded.
Both locations are in Altgard. This makes the Manduri Trebuchet Worker a great pet to farm alongside other Altgard pets, saving you travel time. You can also get souls from the Pet Soul Chest: Cogni if you have those available.
As always, open the Pets menu, click the Manduri Trebuchet Worker, and go to the Source tab to see the exact map pin for each farming spot.
All Sources for the Manduri Trebuchet Worker
Just like the Elite Manduri Fighter, this pet has multiple unlock routes:
- Black Cloud Merchants – Available in the rotating store.
- Mysterious Pet Chest (Bound) – Can drop the pet.
- Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound) – Can drop the pet at a 2.44% chance.
- Growth Pet Chest (Bound) – Another chest source.
- Market Popularity Rank 1 Celebration Pet Chest (Event) – Limited-time event source.
- Pet Soul Chest: Cogni – Provides souls for this pet type.
The Manduri Trebuchet Worker is confirmed to have its soul available from monster kills, chests, and the Black Cloud Merchants. This gives you solid flexibility in how you collect it.
Manduri Trebuchet Worker Pet Insight Progression
The Manduri Trebuchet Worker follows the same Cogni Pet Insight path:
- Lv. 1 (5 souls): Unlocks as a Mount. Owned Effect: HP +10. Grants 500 Genus Insight EXP.
- Lv. 2 (25 more souls): Unlocks Mount Glide. Owned Effect: HP +20, Critical Hit +1. Grants 250 Genus Insight EXP.
- Lv. 3 (75 more souls): Unlocks Transform. Owned Effect: HP +30, Critical Hit +2, Might +1. Grants 250 Genus Insight EXP. Max level.
Elite Manduri Fighter vs Manduri Trebuchet Worker: Quick Comparison
Here is a side-by-side comparison to help you decide which to farm first:
- Genus: Both are Cogni
- Stats at Max: Both give HP +30, Critical Hit +2, Might +1
- Soul Farmable: Both are farmable from open-world monsters
- Elite Manduri Fighter Farming: Verteron (level 27) and Altgard (level 41)
- Manduri Trebuchet Worker Farming: Black Claw Village and Kumrica’s Cellar (both Altgard)
- Ascension Trial Source: Elite Manduri Fighter has 8 Ascension Trial sources; Trebuchet Worker does not
- Achievement Source: Elite Manduri Fighter is tied to the My Reliable Friends II achievement
If you are farming in Altgard anyway, the Manduri Trebuchet Worker is very efficient since its zones overlap with other Cogni farming spots. If you want multiple unlock routes including Ascension Trials, go for the Elite Manduri Fighter first.
Tips for Farming Both Pets Efficiently
Check the Source Tab in the Pets Menu
Before you start farming, open the Pets menu in-game, click the pet you want, and go to the Source tab. It shows a live map pin pointing to exactly where each monster spawns. Do this before heading out so you do not waste time.
Check the Black Cloud Merchants First
The Black Cloud Merchants rotate their pet inventory. If the Elite Manduri Fighter or Manduri Trebuchet Worker is available when you log in, buying it can save you a long farming session. Make it a habit to check every time you log in.
Farm Multiple Cogni Pets at Once
Black Claw Village in Altgard has many Cogni-type monsters. You can farm souls for the Manduri Trebuchet Worker and other Altgard-based Cogni pets at the same time. This is one of the best ways to build your Cogni collection efficiently. Check our Best Pets to Farm for Stats guide to plan your route.
Open Cogni-Specific Chests
If you have Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound) or Growth Pet Chest (Bound) in your inventory, open them. They have a chance to drop either of these pets directly, which saves farming time.
Do Ascension Trials for the Elite Manduri Fighter
If you are running Nightmare Altar or Sanctum of Loathing Ascension Trials, the Elite Manduri Fighter can drop as a reward on any difficulty. This makes it a great passive way to collect it while doing endgame content. See our Aion 2 Endgame Guide for more on Ascension Trials.
Use Duplicate Pets as Extra Souls
If you already own a pet and receive it again from a chest or the Black Cloud Merchants, it converts into a Soul instead of being wasted. These extra souls count toward leveling the pet to Lv. 2 and Lv. 3. Never discard duplicates.
How Do These Pets Help Your Cogni Genus Insight?
Every Cogni pet you collect and level contributes to your Cogni Genus Insight. This is a separate progression system that stacks bonus stats across your entire Cogni pet collection.
Each Pet Insight level you reach grants Genus Insight EXP:
- Lv. 1 unlock = 500 EXP
- Lv. 2 upgrade = 250 EXP
- Lv. 3 max = 250 EXP
The more Cogni pets you max, the higher your Genus Insight grows. At higher Genus Insight levels, you can unlock slots for powerful bonus effects using Cogni Soul Crystals. These crystals drop when you kill monsters whose matching pet is already at max level in your collection.
This is one reason why farming and maxing Cogni pets like the Elite Manduri Fighter and Manduri Trebuchet Worker early is smart. They contribute to a system that pays off throughout the entire game. For more detail, see our Aion 2 Leveling and Progression Guide.
