What Is the Reclaim Inspiration Anomaly Commission in NTE?
Reclaim Inspiration is a Common Anomaly Commission in Neverness to Everness (NTE) set in the Bridge Crossings district. It involves a Class II Bio Anomaly called the Inspiration Terminator — a bug-shaped creature that has drained the color out of an entire Anomalous Realm, leaving the space a dull, lifeless grey.
Your job as an Anomaly Hunter is to enter that colorless space and restore it, section by section, by interacting with objects and defeating the Anomaly that feeds on creative energy. Unlike commissions that focus purely on combat or Spacetime Projector puzzles — such as the Case of Serial Explosion Anomaly Commission — Reclaim Inspiration is all about exploration and quick environmental interactions. Each section of the realm has its own color-restore mechanic, and a few of them require you to act fast before the color fades again.
This guide covers the exact location, every step of the walkthrough in order, and tips for the trickier sections.
How to Unlock Reclaim Inspiration
Like all Anomaly Commissions in NTE, Reclaim Inspiration becomes available after completing the main story mission Prologue Part 2. Once unlocked, open your World Map, access the Anomaly Commission menu from the bottom right corner, find Reclaim Inspiration in the list, and click Track Anomaly to mark the location on your map.

Reclaim Inspiration Location in NTE

The commission starts northwest of the ReroRero Phone Booth located north of Torchwood Avenue in the Bridge Crossings district. Head to that phone booth first using fast travel, then move northwest on foot to reach the starting point. Look for the Colorless Note — a grey, washed-out note sitting in the environment. That is your entry point into the Anomalous Realm.

Reclaim Inspiration Full Walkthrough – Step by Step
Step 1 – Examine the Colorless Note

When you arrive at the marked location, find and interact with the Colorless Note. Examining it immediately teleports you into the Anomalous Realm — a drained, colorless version of a neighbourhood space. Everything around you looks grey and lifeless. Your goal across the entire commission is to restore color to every section of this realm by interacting with specific objects and enemies.
Step 2 – Attack the Bug-Shaped Anomaly
As soon as you enter the Anomalous Realm, look around the first area for a bug-shaped Anomaly. This is the Inspiration Terminator — the creature responsible for draining the color from the space. Attack it. Hitting the bug releases the color it has been absorbing and restores color to the first section of the realm. You do not need to fully defeat it here. A single attack is enough to trigger the color release and let you move forward.
Step 3 – Climb the Stairs and Move Forward
After the first color restoration, head to the stairs nearby and climb up. Continue moving forward through the newly colored section. The path ahead opens up as the color returns to the environment, making it clear where to go next.
Step 4 – Interact With the Traffic Light
At the top of the stairs, you will find a traffic light. Interact with it to change its color. This action restores color to the surrounding space and unlocks the next section of the realm. Once the area around the traffic light fills with color, the path forward opens. Climb the next set of stairs and head toward the court on the right.
Step 5 – Interact With the Basketball

On the court, look for a basketball sitting in the space. Interact with it to apply color to the court area. The basketball interaction is straightforward — just walk up and press the interact prompt. After the color spreads through the court, move to the fence at the far side and cross it to reach the next section.
Step 6 – Change Colors at the Lanterns and the Central Tree

After crossing the fence, you enter a zone with lanterns and a central tree. Both of these need to be color-changed to restore this section of the realm. Interact with each lantern and with the tree.
Important: The color in this section reverts after a short time. If the lanterns or tree lose their color before you have interacted with all of them, they revert to grey and you need to go back and reapply. Work quickly and efficiently here. Do not stop between interactions. Move straight from one lantern to the next and then to the tree without pausing.
Step 7 – Move Through the Gap in the Fence

After successfully coloring the lanterns and the central tree so that the entire zone stays colored, look for a gap in the fence nearby. Move through it to enter the final section of the Anomalous Realm.
Step 8 – Change Colors at 3 Spots (Flowers and Grass)
In the final section, there are 3 color spots to interact with: 2 colored flowers and a patch of grass. Interact with all three.
Important: Just like the lantern section, the colors here also revert quickly. You need to interact with all three spots fast enough that the color holds across the whole section simultaneously. If the “Change color” prompt appears multiple times on a single object, keep interacting with it until the prompt disappears completely before moving to the next one. This means some spots may need more than one interaction to lock in the color — keep pressing until the prompt is gone.
Step 9 – Examine the Colored Note to Complete the Commission
Once all three spots in the final section are fully colored and the color is holding, a Colored Note appears on a table in the area. Walk up to it and examine it. This is the final interaction of the commission. Examining the Colored Note exits you from the Anomalous Realm and completes Reclaim Inspiration.

Tips for Completing Reclaim Inspiration Without Frustration
Act Immediately in the Reverting Color Sections
The two sections where color reverts — the lanterns and central tree zone, and the flowers and grass zone — are the only parts of this commission that can slow you down. The moment you enter each zone, do not pause to look around. Move directly to the first interactable object and keep going. The window before colors revert is short but manageable if you stay focused and move in a straight line through the interactions.
Keep Interacting Until the Prompt Disappears
In the final flower and grass section, some interactables need multiple presses before the color locks in. If you see the “Change color” prompt appearing again after your first interaction, do not move away yet. Keep pressing until the prompt stops showing. Only once it vanishes is that spot fully locked in and you are safe to move to the next one.
The Bug Attack Does Not Need to Be a Full Fight
When you first enter the realm and spot the bug Anomaly, some players expect a full boss encounter. It is not. A single attack is enough to trigger the color release. Hit it once and move on. Do not waste time trying to kill it — the commission does not require that, and chasing the bug around wastes the time you need for the later timed sections.
Follow the Color Gradient Forward
After each successful color restoration, the previously grey environment becomes vivid again. The direction you need to go next is almost always toward the most recently colored area. If you are unsure where to head, look for the zone that just had color restored and follow it — the path forward is always in that direction.
No Need to Rush the Early Sections
The traffic light and basketball sections do not have a revert timer. Take your time in those areas, orient yourself, and mentally prepare for the faster lantern and flower sections that come after. Trying to rush everything at once often causes players to accidentally skip the basketball or miss one of the lanterns.
What Is the Inspiration Terminator?
The Inspiration Terminator is the Anomaly at the center of this commission. It is classified as a Class II Bio Anomaly, which puts it in the mid-tier range of anomaly difficulty in NTE. Bio Anomalies in the game tend to be creature-type entities rather than supernatural objects or constructs. In the lore context of the commission, this bug-type creature has been draining creative energy — represented as literal color — from the surrounding environment, turning a once-vibrant neighbourhood space into a washed-out, lifeless grey.
It is a fun thematic commission that stands out from most other Anomaly Commissions because the challenge is entirely environmental rather than combat-based. There is no boss fight to win, no enemies to dodge — just a broken world to piece back together one color at a time.

Thoughts
Reclaim Inspiration is one of the more relaxing and visually satisfying Anomaly Commissions in NTE. Instead of fighting through enemies or rewinding footage in a projector loop, you move through a drained world and bring it back to life section by section. The color-restore mechanic is creative, and watching the grey realm shift back to full color with each interaction is genuinely rewarding.
The only sections that require any real urgency are the lanterns and tree zone, and the flowers and grass zone at the end. Keep your movement tight in those areas, remember to hold the interact prompt until it disappears on multi-press objects, and you will complete the commission without issues.
The Arc “Mind Royale” reward alone makes this worth doing early. Combine it with other free weapon rewards from commissions like the Case of Serial Explosion and the After School commission, and you can build out strong loadouts for your team without spending a single premium pull.
